A Fatal Fire and How You Can Help

They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, village, here are two that could use your help.

As some of you may know, though I’m guessing most do not, for the last seven summers myself along with many other volunteers spend a week of our time giving back, providing s week of solace and fun in the sun for children with less-than-ideal situations.

Yesterday morning a fire changed the lives of so many people, two of whom are a part of our summer camp family, one of which has been my “little” for the past several years. While they were lucky to escape, three other children living in the duplex did not, unfortunately.

My “little”, his younger sister, and both parents lost all their material possessions.

For those interested and willing, they are looking for the following clothing sizes:

  • Boy shoes (size 4), pants (8), medium shirts
  • Girl shoes (size 2), pants (6X), shirts (6X)
  • Mom: 14-16 pants, XL shirts, shoes size 8
  • Dad: 32-34 pants, large shirts, shoe 8

If your heart desires so, feel free to make any additional donations. Please contact me with any questions.
